About

Are you just as crazy about gardening as I am? Then you've had a look around your own house. Everyone is welcome at the Garden Lot blog, no matter what level of gardening experience they have. It doesn't matter if you live in an apartment and have a passion for houseplants, if you're a beginner gardener installing your first edible lawn, or if you're an experienced gardener looking for ways to turn your harvest into delectable meals.

We are aware of how the texture of dust feels between our fingers, how exciting it can be to see your first seedling or flower of the year appear, and how appropriate it tastes to bite into that sparkling fruit you just picked out of your very very own lawn.

And because we are gardeners ourselves, our goal is straightforward: we want to make sure that you have the opportunity to take pleasure in that as well. Gardening is, above all else, a fun hobby, and we need that because it will make your lawn happier.

Being outside has always been one of my favourite things to do, particularly when the weather is warmer. As I was growing up, I was always very interested in natural phenomena, such as plants, animals, and the ways in which they all interact with one another. The older I got, the more intrigued I became by this topic. It is probably what prompted me to major in Environmental Science while I was in college.

During the course of my studies, I made the decision to become interested in gardening. People can gain a first-hand understanding of the conditions that are optimal for the development of plants through the hobby of gardening. For me, it opened up opportunities to conduct experiments and put the information that I was learning in school into practise. Not to mention the fact that it can be a very rewarding experience if it is done correctly.

My involvement in the gardening community is relatively recent. I didn't get started with this pastime until a couple of summers ago. To get started, I decided to make a little garden along the side of the house and used some planters to grow different kinds of produce as well as some herbs. Since then, I've been on a path of self-improvement.

There are a lot of people who have the misconception that plants are straightforward organisms, but the more you learn about them, the more you realise how intricate they actually are. There is a lot more work that needs to be done in order to get plants to grow than just giving them a little water and expecting the sun to do the rest of the work.

Every gardener is aware that in order for a plant to achieve its full potential, it must fulfil a unique set of conditions.

This can include different types of soil (ranging from sands to clays), different amounts of sunlight, different water requirements, and different nutrient inputs. In addition to this, you are responsible for acquiring the knowledge necessary to plant, prune, and harvest each individual plant.

When starting a garden, it is important to become familiar with the prerequisites for each species of plant that you plan to cultivate. It is an opportunity for education, but unfortunately, some of the plants will perish along the way. On the other hand, as each year passes and you gain more knowledge, you start to get a better understanding of how certain plants should be grown.

If you garden the right way, you might end up with some fresh fruits, vegetables, or herbs, or you might end up with a stunning arrangement of foliage and flowers. People garden for a wide variety of reasons, including to grow their own food, to make beautiful flower arrangements, or simply as a method of relaxation. The ability to feel connected with the world around you is something that all gardeners share, and this is the one thing that unites all gardeners. - Garden Lot
